About this policy

This policy explains how Positive Advisers Ltd ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on positiveadvisers.co.uk, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data more generally.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your preferences, and let us understand how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as tags, pixels and local storage, do comparable things, and we refer to them all as "cookies" in this policy.

Your consent

We only place non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) after you have given consent through our cookie banner. When you first visit, you can accept all, reject all, or choose which categories to allow. Strictly necessary cookies don't require consent because the site can't function properly without them.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in our website footer. We use Google Consent Mode, so if you decline analytics or marketing cookies, the relevant Google tags are restricted accordingly.

The cookies we use

1. Strictly necessary (always on)

These make the website work, for example remembering your cookie choices and keeping the site secure. They can't be switched off.

3. Analytics

These help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages are popular and how people move through it, so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

4. Marketing & advertising

These let us measure the performance of our paid advertising and show relevant ads. We use Google Ads for conversion tracking (to see which ads lead to enquiries) and audience / remarketing tags (to help optimise our campaigns and reach relevant audiences). These tags are deployed through Google Tag Manager, which is a container that manages our tags: it does not itself store personal data in cookies.

Google Tag Manager is used only to deploy and manage the tags above; the cookies are set by GA4 and Google Ads once you consent.

Cookie names and durations are set by the third parties and may change. For more detail see Google's own information on how Google uses cookies and HubSpot's Cookie Policy.

Managing cookies

  • On our site: use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer to review or change your choices at any time.
  • In your browser: you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
  • Opt out of Google advertising: you can manage ad personalisation via Google Ads Settings and analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for legal reasons. We'll post any changes here and update the "last updated" date above.
